Lt James Warner  Allen served 1863-1865 with the 19th Pennsylvania Cavalry in AJ Smith's Division, the 16th Army Corp in the Meridian, Mississippi & Red River Campaigns. A full seated view of Allen in civilian suit, seated with his wife Annie Jones Allen and children Samuel and Lewis. The CDV is still mounted on an 8 x 5" sheet, from the scrapbook of the Samuel Jones Allen & Peter Hargous Family with ink id inscribed on the lower portion of the page. Comes w service info.
